The WAC8001W contains R-410A which is an eco-friendly refrigerant that contains no bromine or chlorine. This refrigerant will not harm the ozone layer like other refrigerants previously did. Sleep mode adjusts the temperature periodically for 6 hours until returning to your desired temperature. This maximizes your energy savings by ensuring the unit is being used only when necessary.

The fan cycles on and off for 2 minutes in 10 minute intervals and if the temperature exceeds the set temperature the compressor will kick on and cool the room back down to your desired temperature.
